Precision Illumination for Nighttime Operations

The Zenmuse S1 is DJI’s first spotlight designed specifically for multi-payload drone platforms. Compatible with the Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK, it leverages LEP (Laser Excited Phosphor) technology to provide high brightness, long-range illumination, and multiple lighting modes. It is purpose-built for public safety, emergency rescue, inspection, and other critical nighttime missions.

Lighting Modes for Versatile Applications

Low Beam Mode delivers a 15-degree field of view with an illumination range of up to 150 meters. This mode is optimized for short-distance search and inspection tasks when using a camera at 5x zoom or above.

High Beam Mode narrows the field of view to 4 degrees and extends visibility to 300 meters. Utilizing LEP technology for improved light penetration, this mode is ideal for long-range operations with a 15x zoom camera or higher.

Both On Mode activates both low and high beams simultaneously. It retains the field of view of the Low Beam mode while increasing the observation distance to 500 meters, offering maximum illumination coverage for broad situational awareness.

Strobe Mode enables high-frequency flashing to draw attention during emergency scenarios, ideal for search and rescue or public safety signaling.

High Brightness with Low Power Consumption

The Zenmuse S1 delivers a maximum central illuminance of 35 lux at 100 meters, providing clear visibility in low-light conditions. In High Beam mode, the spotlight consumes only 17 watts, helping reduce the drone’s power load and maintain flight efficiency.

Built-in Safety Mechanisms

The payload includes protections against overcurrent, overheating, and power-related issues, contributing to long-term reliability. The casing design ensures that the surface temperature does not exceed 50°C (122°F), reducing the risk of burns when handling the unit after operation. When the drone is grounded, the light automatically dims to 40 percent of its maximum brightness to reduce glare and protect the operator’s eyes.

Streamlined Operation

Zenmuse S1 supports customizable remote controller shortcuts for quick access to lighting controls. Operators can assign buttons to switch modes, turn the light on or off, or adjust brightness, enabling fast and intuitive operation in the field.

Built for Tough Environments

With an IP54 rating, the spotlight is resistant to dust and water ingress. It operates reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -20°C to 40°C, making it suitable for a wide range of operational environments. Weighing just 0.76 kg, it is lightweight and supports installation on single downward, dual downward, or single upward gimbal mounts.

SDK Integration

Zenmuse S1 is compatible with DJI’s Mobile SDK, allowing developers to integrate spotlight controls into their own mobile applications and optimize workflows for specialized missions.

Platform Compatibility

The Zenmuse S1 is fully compatible with both the DJI Matrice 350 RTK and DJI Matrice 300 RTK platforms.
